If a child in your group gets declared below the minimum height along the way, please do not take your frustration out on the team members. They are doing their job. Universal Epic Universe opens May 2025

Another unique characteristic of this new theme park relates to one of the latest hotels being built. Volcano Bay, Universal Orlando Resort’s fabulous water park, resides next to Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort. Volcano Bay stepped up the water park game in the Orlando area. Guests visiting here can use the Tapu Tapu system to wait “virtually” for their ride times on the water attractions.

How Do I Know If I Fit on a Universal Ride?

Besides height requirements, Universal Orlando, like all theme park resorts, has certain attractions that are harder for people of certain sizes to ride. Guests can find test seats outside of the entrances to many rides with more restrictive seats, such as Doctor Doom’s Fearfall, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Revenge of the Mummy, Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, and Jurassic World VelociCoaster.

If guests have any concerns, they should try the test seats. This will help those who might experience claustrophobia on a ride. Also, guests do not want to wait in a longer ride queue only to find out they do not fit comfortably on a ride when it is too late. Guests are encouraged to try the test seats to ensure they are comfortable before riding on the attraction.

Does Universal Orlando Have Kid-friendly Rides?

All Universal Orlando parks have attractions for kids. Groups with very small children should know that several “big-ticket” rides will not suit some young children. Universal Orlando states, “If your children are too small or unwilling to go on a particular ride that you want to experience, take advantage of our ‘child swap’ program. Each ride and attraction has a family room where one party member can wait with the little ones while the rest of your party rides. Once they are finished, switch places so whoever rode can stay with the kids, and the adult(s) who sat out can enjoy the ride.”
